PES was one of the implementing partners of WIDU, an initiative that is  being implemented across 6 countries in Africa, that redirects existing  remittances into sustainable investments for start-ups and small businesses.

PES  provided  coaching  and  mentorship  support  including  availing  accountability tools to 200+ Micro Small and Medium Enterprises across 11+  counties including Nairobi, Kiambu, Kajiado, Nyeri, Machakos, Makueni,  Kitui, Lodwar, Meru, Kilifi, Bungoma and Mombasa. PES coaches also play  an active role in verification and administration to help ensure that rules,  regulations, and procedures are followed during the site assessment/qualitative  assessment of the project and partner. PES also provided business coaching to  the MSME entrepreneurs to assist them develop simple business plans and  understand the budgeting process when they receive their matching grants.
