PES was engaged by TechnoServe, the implementing partner of the Alliance for Inclusive and Nutritious Food Processing (AINFP) to provide ‘access to finance’ training sessions to address gaps in management capacity, investment preparedness and understanding private equity as a source of capital to AINFP SMEs based in Kenya and Tanzania.
Outcome: PES undertook a needs analysis assessment of the SMEs, and based on the outcome, developed the curriculum content and training content. PES facilitated physical training sessions for AINFP SMEs – including women-owned and led SMEs in Kenya and Tanzania. PES reviewed their pitch decks, including investment asks. PES investor pitch sessions with active investors within those markets and value chains.
