The 2022 AgriPitch Competition

The African Youth Agripreneur Forum (AYAF) and AgriPitch Competition, an initiative of the African Development Bank’s Enable Youth Program, is designed to empower youth at each stage of the agribusiness value chain as “agripreneurs” by harnessing new skills, technologies and financing approaches so that the youth can establish viable and profitable agribusinesses

The overall goal of the AYAF is to contribute to job creation, food and nutrition security, income generation, and improved livelihoods for the youth in both urban and rural areas.

The AgriPitch Competition aims to support African agripreneurs by enhancing the bankability and viability of their businesses and ensuring that they are pitch ready for potential investors. In line with the theme for the 5th AYAF and AgriPitch Competition, “The Role of African Youth Within African Food Systems”, the objective was to identify innovative solutions and develop ideas that contribute to strengthening Africa’s food systems, mitigate the effects of gender marginalization, and enhance sustainable nutrition across the continent

Private Equity Support [PES], the implementing lead with Private Financing Advisory Network (PFAN) as the knowledge partner and Eldohub as the digital partner, were engaged to manage the pan African call for applications, virtual capacity building services for pitching, investment readiness and the execution of a virtual investor deal room for the 2022 AgriPitch Competition.
