African development Bank (AFDB)

The AfDB in collaboration with other partners organises annual Africa Investment Forum (AIF) which offers entrepreneurial ventures an opportunity to connect with investors, mentorship and entrepreneurship ecosystem partners. 

In the 2019 AIF held in Johannesburg, South Africa, AfDB organized Market Day Sessions for 20 entrepreneurial ventures working in education, health, agriculture, energy industries and ICT.  

KCIC Training Cohort

The Kenya Climate Innovation Center (KCIC) provides incubation, capacity building services and financing to Kenyan entrepreneurs and new ventures that are developing innovative solutions in energy, water and agribusiness to address climate change challenges. 

KCIC is an initiative supported by the World Bank .KCIC approached PES to curate a ‘Training Cohort’ Investor Readiness programme for twenty-five (25) of its incubator and accelerator clients over a two (2) day period.

Project Herbal

Project Herbal is a firm that manufactures of personal care products with raw materials purchased from smallholder farmers in Kenya and Tanzania. PES undertook a review of their financial, operational and commercial business aspects as part of the investor readiness preparation process.

Project Retail

 Project Retail was a Tier II supermarket, with 6 outlets that was experiencing rapid growth and required growth capital. PES was mandated to assist in the raising of both debt and equity capital through a first-round and subsequent round of investment.

Project Fresh

Project Fresh is a women-owned agri-business enterprise addressing the market challenges by aggregating fresh produce (Vegetables and fruits) from smallholder farmers mainly located in rural areas of the country and supplies the products to supermarkets, groceries and other retailers in urban areas, specifically Nairobi.

Project Springs

Project Springs is a leading private education institution that was undertaking a private capital raise process to fund its growth and expansion plans.

PES was engaged to assist the institution prepare for due diligence.
